beta-boy
hey i've only had my 05 pro 300 for just under 3 weeks now, i got it brand new, and i was riding around my yard the other day and noticed a little bit of oil build up on the oustide of my front sprocket, no aparent drips on the skid plate or anything so i thought it might just be my imagination, so the next day i went for a ride and noticed the same thing so when i got home i took the chain and front sprocket off and leaned it at a resting angle towards the drive side apposed to the kickstand lean side, i left it over night and today after work i went and checked on it to see if it leaked......well probably a quarter of the tranny oil is now in the clean pan i put under it.....it appears to be comming from the seal around the drive shaft, i looked through my manual and it said theres O-rings and other bushings and spacers between the driveshaft and the seal could these be the problem? or is it the seal itself? and help would be awsome thanks -Jesse
steve fracy
Jesse: Take the bike back to your dealer and get it fixed! If it's leaking oil only 3 weeks old, then it should be warranty...........No charge! GG have a solid record of warranteeing there bikes! Cheers, Steve
martinm
Jesse I would go with Steve on this....do not touch the bike and take it back to the dealer. If its as easy to fix as r2w is suggesting, they wont have any problems sorting it out. But if there are any signs you have been trying yourself, they might not be so keen to assist !!
