greevesrob
Hello all I now own a sprite trials bike and looking for more info on the bike. I think it is one of the earlier models but im unsure. The bike seems to be in very original condition even with the original fuel tank i think. Any info would be great.
trialsrfun
I have a similar Sprite frame, someone suggested it was possibly 1966/67 the last ones made 1968/9 did not have the tubes fron the swing arm pivot to the under seat tank area. jc2
Nice bike Click on this link: http://s1085.photobucket.com/user/trialrider/library/?sort=3&page=1 Is that your model? Except for the rear loop it looks like it to me. The copy of the dated magazine ad shown there (from when they were available back in the day) is Nov 18 1964 . Does that make yours a '64 model?? greevesrob
Thanks for the replys. The bike in the photo link does look very similer bar the rear mudguard loop. I was hopping it was one of the 64 model as that the one my grandad used to have plus i think the frame number is only 2 numbers long so looking good. Is there anyone that would know about sprite frame number?
greevesman
Hi the bike in the link was mine (sold last year)it was registered some time in 1965 frame number 161 , so if your frame number is before that could be 1964. greevesrob
I will have to check tonight. Did you mod the rear loop or did it come like that. So if your sprite was registered 65 is it pre65 scottish eligible as certain bsa's are? Not wanting to start any trouble though Edited March 27, 2017 by greevesrob Spelling
greevesman
The rear loop was like that when I brought it.

greevesrob
Thanks for the help found this online which seems to show my frame with tank but no rear loop so maybe that was the buyers own ideas. Like the price though wish a new bike cost that.
trialsrfun
The purchase price may have been reasonable but on my frame the quality of the brazing is exceptionnaly good.

trialsrfun
I have a Sprite frame not a complete bike for hopefully a future project. I never have much success posting pictures here on tc but my frame is much the same as your one. Edited March 28, 2017 by trialsrfun
