dan williams
This is what I hated about indoor trials. I still think if Kenichi Kuroyama hadn't broken both wrists in a serious indoors crash he would have been world champion.

Is he the one that was coming down a stack of spools (about 3 high I think, stacked so as to ride the round parts), and the front wheel tucked under and he basically went over the bars and landed on the cement both hands flat to catch himself? dan williams
Could be. I haven't seen it in a long time but I just hate that things are made dangerous to make it spectacular for the proles.

Yep, I can watch 7 different riders ride the same tight turn and enjoy each one because the line is totally different. even if it is just different by mere inches of tire placement. My wife just sees 7 guys ride the same turn exactly the same way.........
mrturtle
Grimbo was brave attempting those hazards without a minder.
dadof2
I had come across this some time ago on youtube. Not impressed then, not impressed now. totally pointless and could have deprived the sport of a good rider.
mickrayner
Just watched this again...ridiculous the level of potential injury from one mistake, how did they get away with it? I Remember watching it when it was on originally. I was at Sheffield when Kuroyama had that accident..horrible to watch.

Is that where the rider was at the top of a stack of spools and the front tire tucked in and he essentially went over the bars but ended up falling to the cement landing with hands first? slicktop
Fame and Money are big motivators. I have been in much more precarious situations in the course of my normal jobs without the crowd cheering and for less money.

Yeah thats it.. about 10ft or more onto his hands. He still managed to wave to the crowd as he was taken for medical help.
