micm
There is a new law coming in for mainland UK (on Monday 10 April 2017) that will allow roads to be closed for all kinds of motorsport events. Perhaps not directly relevant but the article (below) noted 'an overwhelming public response' in favour of closures for motor sport. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39539368
Andy
It will come at a cost though. I can't remember who it was or which event but I recall someone telling me they asked for a short term road closure for a trial and the council wanted £18k. baldilocks
Ouch. Can you remember the location? I'll be starting the santigosa 3 day on good Fri. From the pavement outside the sports hall along the road turn right up the street across the main road and into the hills. The police are there and stop any traffic when a bike approaches. My bikes taxed and insured but it's not a requirement. Youth classes take part. I had hoped we could do something similar in the UK at more rural trials under the legislation. Maybe not...
