tahoeacr
Got the 550 gram weight kit(Vertigo kit). Shifter hits the case. Any fixes out there or am I resorting to grinding down the shifter?
collyolly
I have the extra weight fitted to the flywheel of my Gasgas 300, a slim spacer is used to push out the flywheel cover to make room inside for the extra weight and this means the gear lever fouls it. I have gently bent out my gear lever and I have also 'relieved' the inside face with a sander/file, you also have to make sure the pinch bolt is done up very tight as the engagement on the splined shaft is less than it should be. It does work but there is no other option as I don't know of any after market gear levers with bigger offsets, this is of course a Gasgas, would be interested to know if a lever from another make or model could be used ? elemetal
Ditch the weight and use map 3? It is so soft on 3 that it messed my timing up big time at the BAC. Back on 2 or 1 and I was good to go. 4 is for high altitude I was told (over 7000 ft)
