Just keep with the easy route untill you feel confident, it will come back. I hurt myself in 96 (disslocated and paralized my left arm), got back on a bike in 2002, and in 2003 i ended up coming 2nd in my class (okay, it was the easy route, but it gave me one hell of a confidence boost).

Gaff.

Very difficult going back to hard routes once you take the 'B' lines - ride the hard one but just be careful on the big steps B) - its easier to take a 5 than recover from broken bits.

And you will always know that however bad you do on the A route youve beaten everybody that rides the B B)

when i broke me knee twice it took me 5 months to really attack things , but did alot of practice and gradually got bigger and bigger sections now it never enters my mind.

Perhaps someone could hypnotise (sp) you into forgetting you hurt yourself .

good luck

Iv'e never had a lot of bottle. Still riding the easy stuff after two-and-a-half to three years B) . Nearly managed to go up a level last summer, but then the trials stopped and exams started and then my bike broke B) so i'm back to being more timid now. I think by this summer if I can practise more then I might be able to try the more advanced stuff especially as my new (old) bike is brill.

Only problem now is the good 'ol english weather turning the woods into an unnavigable lake.
