jamie123
Hi folks, I just replaced the ignition stator on my 2012 beta evo 250 2 stroke and it sparks now (since it don't before, hence replacing it) but it still doesn't start. I tried kicking it and every now and again it would backfire but never ever fired into life. The woodruff key is still there so isn't that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
2stroke4stroke
Have you got the backplate in the correct position? Use the old screw marks as a guide.
jamie123
Thanks for the reply. Yeah i put the backplate in the exact way it came out. The only thing i am unsure about is which way round the wee black box that sits above the flywheel goes. I have it where you can see they numbers upside down and the wee pin at the bottom pointing to the flywheel. I don't know if it goes the other way or not? 2stroke4stroke
'Fraid I can't help with that. Beta UK did have photos on doing timing which might show this.
