copemech
I'm sitting here looking at a pair if Mitas trials tires, look like Michelin copies, but seem a bit stiff! Anyone know anything about them?

boofont
I've been told they're cheap and not very cheerful.
timp
The top three tyres are Michelin, Dunlop and IRC. All three have good and bad points but mainly good. Others makes are cheap but you get what you pay for. Similar comparison to Lada car or Honda car!
rhaines
I had a mitas on the back of a beta. worked ok but didnt seem to get as much grip as a michelin. As I understand it mitas are made by continental in czech rep. I have been told conti stopped making trials tyres long ago so would think the design/ technology is a little out of date. timp
And what are the bad points of a Lada? Can't remember any good points so must of been all of it that was bad!!!
jonty
Do you drive a Lada Bob?
bob
Used to, but only really as a field car, mechanically it was a great car! The heater was VERY good, basically a hole in the dash which blasted superheated air at your face, good for cold weather! :hat: Getting back onto this thread, the tyres were good in the snow. jonty
My experience has been IRC's for the winter.(Softer compound, good in the mud and slippery stuff), Michelins for Spring onwards when it's a bit drier and grippier. Not much to choose between them price-wise. Getting back off this thread (sorry Bob!).The Lada Niva was an excellent car. One of the first 4x4's. Hopeless in a straight line but would go anywhere off-road. Bumpers built of 1/4" plate steel!
