lineaway
They probably saw the writing on the wall. Seems we have a new series promoter this year, can`t operate in the red.
cota kid
Problem is with the organiser and not the promoter. I'm sure their will be a huge effort going on behind the scenes to ensure the event happens.
faussy
Dont think it would be much of a loss, terrible venue. Give our lads a ****ing chance and go to a venue representative of british terrain!!!! Edited June 10, 2017 by faussy
neils on wheels
The 2016 trial was 2 days of competition, this year it is 1 day of practice/autographs/qualifying/faffing about and 1 day of competition. That surely will reduce revenue from ticket sales.

Seems like the qualifying in Japan was even more exciting, what with Dibs being the only rider to clean and have the fastest time,

There are many great venues in the UK, with next to no man made crap. Who really wants to watch that? While i know some cant provide the provisions needed for a world championship, some can. Whatever happened to hawkstone?

Off the top of my head hawkstone have limited planning consent to a handful of weekends per year, thus it commands a relativity large fee to hire (for a mx venue) - for the limited financial means of a trials event this would be prohibitive

I did answer the question, keep up Fort william bangor newcastle anywhere in yorkshire hawkstone thats just 5 off the top of my head, all better venues than the current venue Edited June 20, 2017 by faussy
baldilocks
Newcastle??? Anywhere in Yorkshire, well is Tong not in Yorkshire? Fort William, been there but not financially viable for the organiser, especially under current single day format. Hawkstone not available / too expensive. Not sure why Bangor stopped. nigel dabster
Bangor stopped because the local authourity didnt feel it was justified in spending the money to get a world round there. Nowhere in Newcastle is siutable. Its you that needs to keep up and answer the question @faussy
