xeno13
Afternoon all, Getting into trials again after a very long absence and just picked up a 2017 Evo 300 4t. Been searching around for a service manual for it and coming up completely empty handed. Beta has the 2009-2012 Evo (four stroke) engine manual on their webpage. Are there no changes from this manual to the current year? I was comparing torque specs from this manual to the 2010-2014 torque chart and there are a few differences. Thanks in advance for any help! feetup_mostly
Have you tried betamotor.com for the service manual? I have a 2016 250 4t racing and found the service manual on there. It was the first page to come up following a search on google. Although my engine and frame numbers match the v5, my engine appears to have been built a lot earlier. My cylinder is stamped 2004. My clutch cover is stamped 2010. So there is every chance that there have been no changes over the years.
xeno13
Nothing but the owner's manual on Betamotor.com unfortunately. I will check the dates on the various parts you mentioned when I get home. I know the 4t is kind of the oddball out but it would really surprise me if there wasn't a shop manual. Thanks Reggie. That is the manual I was referencing. I guess the thing I find troubling about this is I have no way of knowing if its current as I have nothing to compare it to. Now, the answer very well may be "It doesn't matter that much" and I am ok with that. Just so I know one way or the other. I still have a touch of New Bike Syndrome but am looking for a support group. Xeno Edited July 30, 2017 by xeno13
lineaway
The 4T does not require much attention other than oil changes and carb work. Over thinking ownership, go ride it more.
carlos
Make sure you grease the swingarm bushings, headset, dogbones, and add some high quality grease to the wheel bearings. Beta, like all manufactures, only put in a minimal amount.
