montman
For a start if you drill a small hole a the very end of any crack or split - That should stop it 'running'
stewart3871
drill a couple of holes either side of the split, and tie-wrap it together.
lewis_gasgas
but that would make it look even worse because theres nothing missing from it just split it goes together if you put it in the right place! Just wondered if there was anyway of sticking it back together maybe?
dhead44
My fender had a crack roughly 2"x2" I took a heat gun to the underside of the fender. Be careful not to go crazy with the heat or the plastic will discolor. After the plastic was soft I took a butter knife and spread the melt across the cracks fusing them. Slapped a sticker on the other side and you can't even see the damage. The repair has held for over three years.
charliechitlins
Does it have to be a butter knife? Nice Les Paul. Is that a soapbar in the neck position?
dhead44
Thanks Charlie! It does look like a soapbar in the avatar. It's just the nickel pickup cover. I swapped out the stock pups for some Seymor Duncan '59s.
gasgaspunkuk
My freinds tele has a seymour duncan in the neck, its so smooth, and even sounding its just amazing. Shame about the huge neck, and boring appearance...
dhead44
Yeah, but that tele tone makes up for it!
