ted_blaauw
Hi all Yesterday my son and me bought a 1977 Cota 348. I would like to check oil levels, but can't find how to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks Ted

feetupfun
There are no windows or test holes or dipsticks for the gearbox or the primary drive compartments. While you are changing the oils, I challenge you to find the gearbox breather without the help of a manual or help from someone.

No manuals or experts here however, so if you or anybody else could point it out to me, that would be great!

nh014
Look at the rear of the inner engine case on the right hand side and you will see the head of a bolt. That is not it, but it holds a detent spring and ball in place. Now look in the approximate same location on the rear left hand side. You will see a small drilled hole, perhaps 1.5 mm (1/16 inch) in diameter. That is the gearbox breather.
