Stu, your assumption is "partially" correct.

Join 1 club you can ride any National.

However that club will be a member of a centre,

so you can ride "centre" trials in that centre.

Clubs have trials:

restricted to invited clubs. (restricted)

open to centre (centre restricted)

closed to club (name says it all)

In Yorkshire we also have West Yorkshire Championship trials.

DONT EVEN ASK !!!!!!

To win or participate in a CLUB championship

you would normally have to be a member of that club.

Certainly Bradford!

Stu, even me in my meekest thoughts I can't BELIEVE

you answered this question as above, yourself being so knowlegeble in trials! :hl:

Apparently changing next year, open and restricted events only, if its gone through, there will not be any "Nationals" any more just "open" events.

Then there will be "Restricted" events which will have a restriction as to entry i.e. only Bradford members or only yorkshire centre or only east yorks and Yorkshire etc.

In theory i think anyway.

The meeting on Sat is for BTC organisers.

Wouldn't miss it for the world :-)

May I ask what your fixation with sponsorship money is?

Please just be glad the sport gets some sponsorship!

You can always see the ACU accounts should you wish to.

it will in 2006 different (which previously/currently was run by how Stuart C describes it)

the magic idea is that yes you only join one club

but this is highly dependant upon the events you seek to ride being run on the "right" permit! / the permit issuing authority (ie the centre) granting the "right" permit

we silly southern fairy's will be running all our "centre" meetings as "open" - ie you on your Bon Accord MCC membership could come and ride our meeting if you really wanted to.

however you would be able to ride in a club trial unless you were a club member. *Some* centres *may* restrict their centre championship rounds to either centre residents, or centre clubs, etc, etc. So you may need to, still, join many clubs if you want to ride certain events

hope that is clear (as mud!!!)

rabie :hat:
