araf
First posts on forums are always difficult, but here goes..... Fat and over forty, I've been competing in enduros and rallies for quite a number of years, but have decided to take up trials riding. With this in mind, I've recently purchased an '03 Gas Gas 250 TXT PRO. Quite a revelation, and so easy to ride (on my drive ), I wish I had done it years ago. I'll be looking to enter a few local events in the new year, so any tips and pointers would be more than welcome. I went and had a look at a couple of sections at an event in Dover a couple of weeks ago, and decided that it was do-able (though the ground conditions were good). brian r
Just have fun and spend time on the bike, you'll love it. Throw out almost everything you know about riding a motorcycle and buy the DVD from Ryan Young for training.

araf
Hello Rabie. Thanks for the nudge on the other site, I finally made it on here. I heard that there was a trial at Sittingbourne on Sunday, so was going to go and have a look. Went to have a look at one at Coombe Valley the other week. All looks about as I thought, though the ground conditions made it easier than it could have been. So much easier than having to drive to Wales.
