ymirtrials
Rounds 1&2 Donner California, rounds 3&4 IOCO BC. Who’s in? Think I have a posse interested....
steve fracy
Sounds good Jay. It is a pretty cool opportunity for riders on both sides of the border to ride and compete in two of the most iconic trials areas in North America on back to back weekends. There will be classes for everyone and of course the chance to see the best Pro riders in action. Much more details will be coming out in Jan. Hopefully you know that all you need is your CMA competition license which can be used for both the Canadian and US Rounds. Steve
ymirtrials
Hey Steve! Happy holidays! I'm getting pretty pumped about the whole idea of riding both week-end, especially as it would be my first trip to a US national. Still twisting some arms to see who may want to go.... biffsgasgas
Question for you.... Is AMA and CMA now a combined thing? would be nice to not have to purchase an $80CAD membership for the one or two events we ride there a year now that the O in MOTA is on hiatus. --Biff
steve fracy
Hi Biff: This is something we ( the CMA- TAC and the Natc/Ama ) have discussed as far back as last year. It is being worked on! As for the FIM-NA designated events this year, all US riders can enter the Canadian event and use their AMA license with no need to hold a CMA license. The same will apply for Canadian riders who will be riding the event in the Donner area. It should also be noted for riders on both sides of the border that there will be a full complement of classes for all to ride and compete for the FIM-NA crown, not just the top Pro and Expert riders. I will have more info soon and will post the classes available. Steve
ymirtrials
One more question for you Steve, to ride in Donner will we need to have the natc compliant number plates and jersey with name on the back? Jay
steve fracy
Hi Jay. Yes to ride in Donner you will need the Natc requirements for number plate and jersey. This is a US National that is counting towards the FIM-NA championship.
ymirtrials
OK cool, Pete and the boys will likely be pretty stoked having Bustin jerseys! Thanks and will we see you there? I'm training right now, skiing every week-end and looking at the 4rt every time I park the sled....what are you going to do when there is already four feet of snow on the ground the second week of January? steve fracy
Some US events require them and some don't. Its best you contact the organizer. You can find info at www.mototrials,com
ymirtrials
I emailed the organizing club and they indicated spark arrestors will be required.
ymirtrials
Went to an event this weekend put on by the INTA club and there are a good number of riders looking to ride all four events. I hope this is going to spark some good interest in a North American series...

There are not many riders registered for the US round yet, I know that the high temps have me a bit worried....
