mickrayner Posted January 25, 2018 Report Share Posted January 25, 2018 Just got back into trials and picked up a tidy 06 Rev3 270 whick looks to have had an easy life. Im planning on a strip and reassembly replacing fluids, bushes, bearings and seals where needed. Stickers are ok but will replace them during the rebuild. pjw123 Posted January 26, 2018 Report Share Posted January 26, 2018 Water pump case is magnesium & is a guaranteed banker for rot for a bike that age. Last one I bought cost about £90. You might get lucky & be able to repair using Belzona 1111 or similar. Offshore industry uses Belzona regularly to repair pipework on seawater systems. Have you thought about using waterless coolant.
