westyfield7
Has anyone had trouble with the rear door central locking? The rear door locks ok but then won't unlock on the button.. it's then necessary to release it from the inside. Not easy if bikes in the way. Is it a common problem? Is there a fix? basil
Have you tried using the dash mounted button to rule out the key fob It doesn't sound like key fob batterys I have had other minor issues but its the first time ive heard of your fault im assuming the warranty has expired ,you could try asking the dealer if its a known fault

I don't know this vehicle but know central locking....it can be a pain,as the solenoids get older they get weaker,it makes no difference if they air driven or electrical types, another issue is the linkage rods can get sticky with dust and dirt, pop the cover panel and make sure the are well lubricated. If the solenoids are electric make sure the power plug is clean and well connected,on a vacuum solenoid check to make sure the air line is on properly. Lastly try a new battery in the remote...you never know, good luck.
misscrabstick
Chances are it's the latch at fault and you will need a new one, worth checking for a broken wire across from the body to the door too, they can break where the door gets opened and closed a lot causing fatigue of the conductors. westyfield7
..thanks for all the advice, I've tried a few things but ended up back at the dealers. They tell me it needs a new "motor", which is odd as I can hear it moving. Anyway, it's booked in under warranty thankfully so should be sorted when the parts arrive. baldilocks
My 2006 Trafic is on its original gearbox so I'm keeping it until it's banned under the emissions rules
