dan williams
Ah I just noticed the 2018 schematic has an OBD port. That’s new.
lineaway
Before fuel injection, they need to fix the transmission. The gap between first and second has always been too far. As far back with Beta to the Zero`s first has been too low. Nobody else has this problem. You can make first work, but second is then too high, or you make second work and first is useless. Might as well be a 5 speed.
nigel dabster
Surely with the motor now 18 years old that would be the first thing or at least a diaphragm clutch that works at the top level?

dan williams
On Board Diagnostic Computer port for reading out of an ECU Engine Control Unit. Cars all have a mandated OBDII port for monitoring sensors for emissions and programming updates into the fuel & ignition systems. Fundamentally useless on a carburated engine with no sensors unless you want to program ignition curve. Very useful if you have fuel injection though as you can program fuel curve and ignition curve like Vertigo and Honda.

dan williams
Looking at the press release for the RR125 lots of interesting stuff jumps out like integrated clutch MC in the side cover. Ability to add electric start to the engine. Different metodology for making the gears. Some of this could carry over to the trials bikes. It’ll be interesting to see if they want to compete with the Contact ES.
billyt
One thing I can confirm is that the rear shock will have 15 mm or so longer travel. My 2018 Beta Factory 250 cc 2T rear shock is 15mm longer than the stock 2018 bikes rear shock. Makes a BIG difference in the rear suspension performance. The rear shock has compression & rebound adjustment along with sag. Love it....
