Bou to Compete at X Trial This Weekend in Paris?? Really???

X Trial is promoting this weekend's event with both Bou and Raga competing.

I expected Raga to be there, as he competed last weekend for the first time since his surgery.

Bou has been very quiet on social media, no practice riding posts, rightfully so, if he is, I suppose.

I'm just surprised that he'll be back this soon.

OR will the almighty X Trial announce that Bou will not be there on Saturday morning, so that ticket holders still show up to see Adam, at least?

(so they don't eat crow like they did when they outright canceled the last event, which still sucks for all of the other competitors who WERE ABLE to COMPETE)

He doesnt necessarily need to compete, hes got such a lead he could miss a round and still have 10 points over Raga going into the final round, but we dont know what is written in the rules. He may have to compete every round to count in the championship. Also, at the end of the day, you get points even for finishing last!! So even if he turns up, tries the first section and retires he will get at least a point. Without disrespecting the other riders he could quite easily ride without stressing himself too much and finish above last. He did the same a few years back at the outdoors with an arm in a sling. People thought he was mad at the time and he only went and won the round!

Just received from FIM...

Despite the intention of the FIM and 2Play to add a new date to the FIM X-Trial World Championship calendar to replace the cancelled X-Trial Seville, this has not been found possible.

As a result, the calendar is reduced to seven events, rather than the eight initially anticipated.

With two rounds remaining, the gap of points regarding the second rider in the standings and the fact that the regulations discard the worst result of the season, this therefore means Toni Bou has achieved his twelfth consecutive FIM X-Trial world title.

The Championship continues tonight with X-Trial Paris and concludes with X-Trial Budapest on the 29 March.
