david lynch
in the very near future, hopefully by christmas :hat: , i am buying a 2005 gas gas 250. before i do, i was wondering whether there are any modifications i can do to it when i get it so that it runs smoother and doesnt snap or break parts. i am only asking because i have heard that the centre boxes fall apart and that they can over-heat quite easily. all advice and knowledge would be most appreciated. thank you. gasgasblue
I've had no problem with middle box on my 05 ( after a years use ). But the standard thermostat is not reliable, better to fit 04 stat. Also get a spare handlebar clamp they are a weak point on the bike, I've broken two! But it's still the best bike I've had and you get a great service from Gas Gas. Good Luck
david lynch
ok. i think the only people who have had problems with the centre box are my mates who do sitting down wheelies all of the time. i will definitely look into getting a more reliable thermostat and a spare handlebar clamp. thank you very much indeed.
