we all know, the 4 RT is NOT one of the quietest bikes. To reduce the noice, we found a very cheap, but also very effektiv solution.

You take a (in Germany we say) "tea-egg", drill out the holes a little bit, put it on the muffler with silicone. The sound is much more better absorded, like an enduro.

mmmmm, has to be a p*** take.

Buy a four and a half grand bike, built by the most tecnologically advanced automotive engineering giant in the world and then further developed by the best riders on the planet for two years...

......improved by brazing an egg cup onto the end of the exhaust??

Whatver happened to German engineering... :D;)

Maybe if Honda had thought of it then people wouldn't have to go to such measures! :D

I meant the noise issue generally!

So did I. Honda just never seem to consider these things when building new motors these days - what with all the emissions and noise restrictions imposed on them. Don't know how they get away with it?

Now you mention it, my s2000 does seem a bit raucus around 8000rpm! :hyper:
