2018 sherco 300ST swing arm removal

Hi,

I’m trying to remove the swing arm to lube up the piviots but the rear brake hose/ master cylinder and reservoir look like they need to be removed 1st? Is this true?

If they are anything like the older bikes then I'd say yes, leave everything connected & you won't need to bleed the brake. The hose running inside the swingarm is great for protection but makes servicing harder

Update, I was able to remove the rear brake assembly and swing arm intact. The brake hose will pull through the gap between the engine and the vertical back bone of the frame. I lubed the hose, frame and engine with grease to ease the process, it’s a tight fit!

Probably it will be even tighter to get back in, you might be better to loosen the engine mountings to give a little more clearance. When you looked at the pivot bearings/sleeves did you find that they were well lubed by the factory or was only just a smear there?

Pivot bearings/ bushings were in good shape, I was happy to find no rust and a small amount of grease. I believe sherco likes to use 50:50 grease and anti seize.
