This is the BMW part number for the float i just purchased. BMW M/Cycle BING Carburetor FLOAT 1311125476

seems to be the same part as you have listed, the carb i used it on was a Bing 84 (number should be stamped on the carb body) and fitted 350 Bultaco Alpina, i cant remember if it was 26 or 28mm.

When I park my Bultaco for a week or two I turn off the tap and run most of the fuel out of the float bowl, if the bike will be parked for a longer time I remove and drain the float bowl. Minimizing the time the float has to sit in the swill that passes for gasoline these days will help it live long and prosper.

New float arrived today and matches the original ones perfectly so thanks lads. All fitted and everything seem good. I couldn't see anything wrong with the old float but when I weighed them both the new one's were 7g Lighter than the originals so I'm thinking the old plastic ones may have absorbed some of the fuel over the years.

Thanks Again For all the help and I hope I have finally got to the bottom of it ?
