martinh Posted December 30, 2005 Report Share Posted December 30, 2005 (edited) 05 290 - Is the connection between the exhaust and the cylinder supposed to be completely flush? The allen screws don't go in all the way on my new (used) bike, leaving a gap of about 0.5-1cm betwen the end of the exhaust and the cylinder, so just wondering if this is by design or not. The flange is at the same angle at both ends, and it doesn't sound like there are any gases escaping at all, so I am sure it is OK. Just wanted a bit of reassurance! wayne thais Posted December 30, 2005 Report Share Posted December 30, 2005 This would be a great time to remove the exhaust header bolts and apply a coat of anti-sieze to them.
