betaboy100
Hi all, im trying to change the pads in my braktec caliper on my gasgas racing 2014. The last pad change i did was on an ajp caliper and had the two pins that you undid to slide the pad out. I was wondering if anyone could talk me through this new way as i dont want to damage anything. Thanks in advance:) Liam Edited December 28, 2018 by betaboy100
gasserguy
They just drop out the bottom of the caliper once no brake disk in place to hold them in.
jimmyl
Unbolt calliper push piston back most of the way This will alllow 1 pad to fall forward and out then the 2 nd one is easy to put back put the one pad in and push into place with a small screw driver and second one will then go back in. not sure what the benefit over the old design with a pin but they where much easier and I’m sure the friction material was thicker as not restricted by the install method Edited December 28, 2018 by jimmyl
