rustyrider
Hi, recently purchased a 242 but I find the petrol tank doesn't fit that well around the rear shock absorbers, it's an original white plastic tank not fibreglass, has any of you had this problem?? when I put the long bolt in through the front of the tank and pivot the tank down to its proper seating position on the frame it fouls the rear shocks, the bike is totally original never trialed having spent its life in the warm Italian sun
ikb
Mine has an eccentric steel boss where the front bolt goes through allowing some adjustment.
pschrauber
Yes mine have the little excentric bolt too and this is a problem since the bike was designed the upper "Eyes" of the shock do rub to your legs.
mattylad
I have always wondered if the fuel tank extends over the airbox so that the seat height is raised
