Hi,

Info required please....The owner's manual says 700cc of 10W40 but I have read on here 450cc of 80wt light gear oil.

I prefer gear oil but could someone please clarify the correct quantity and viscosity.

Here's hoping ☺️

The manual is correct. 2017+ models with diaphram clutches all take ~700mL. The fill plug doubles as an inspection hole, so you could always just stuff it as full as you can then whatever runs out was extra, with the bike level on its tires. You could use 10w40 motor oil, but most folks use 75w gear oil (Maxima MTL, Silkolene Gear Oil Light, etc.)

Thanks for the replies...... I took the filler plug out the other night and oil started coming out, am I correct in assuming that it's overfilled and I need to drain some out?

Thanks again....

Hi I have the same bike but I can't find the owners manual of the 2017 model, there is only the spare parts. Which manual do you have? I can find on the internet and sherco web the owners manuals of models 2016 and 2018 but I need 2017. Where can I find? Thank you.
