benbeta23
Hi, i am wondering what can i use to protect my silencer on my 300 pro gasgas, i am currently using come sticky carbon fibre but it is rubbish & keeps falling off, i don't really want to use a plastic cover, i have also looked at other carbon fibre but it seems to cost quite a bit Any ideas would be really helpful Cheers, Ben. shercoman2k8
Just get your one, warm the exhaust up, run a bead of silicon sealer (make sure its the high temp' one) on the exhaust where you want the protector to sit... then shove the protector on, hold it on with zip ties, heat her up and leave her over night to cool... remove the zipties and voila, you have one that wont be coming off anytime soon Or maybe one off another bike? Worth a try Edited May 27, 2009 by shercoman2k8
copemech
I have seen some use the fairly thin grade of the Ali Tread Plate, cut to size and formed a bit with rounded edges, then rivited to the muff! Looks good and tough!

benbeta23
I think i'm going to use some clear sticky plastic which is quite thick, lets hope the heat doesn't wear it off as easy.
