wes972397
Dear all, I am in the process of replacing the crank oil seal on the gearbox side of my 2004 beta rev 3 250. Before doing any damage, please could someone confirm the thread direction of both the clutch nut and the primary drive special bolt ? Thanks for your help Wes Edited August 7, 2019 by wes972397

peterb
The flywheel on the end of the crankshaft is a taper fit, you can make up a sturdy puller with a suitably shaped steel frame and pick up the two hole centres in the flywheel, unless you already have one. Be aware of the two different thickness washers behind the clutch centre/ clutch basket. Bye, Peter B.
wes972397
Thanks for the help Peter, I managed to change the oil seal successfully. When the oil seal was removed I noticed some free play in the drive shaft, not a lot, but I coold feel it. Is this something to be worried about?
