thesaint
I have a question about the reed valve as shown on the first picture for my 2005 Gas Gas TXT 125 Pro and my 2006 Gas Gas TXT 250 Pro On the top picture you see the reed valve i am wondering about and on the picture furthest down you see how the air box is on my TXT Pro bikes On my 2 bikes there looks to be no reed valve at all since the air box (everything behind the carburetors is like on picture 2 with no reed valve between the carb and air box Is this correct? Also both bikes have Dellorto PHBL carburetors and i wonder if these carbs are lousy quality carbs?
zippy
Reed valve is located between the engine and the carb. the valve portion is inserted into the engine. While the Keihin carb in my opinion is better than the Dellorto PHBL, the Dellorto is NOT a bad carb. as with any carb, keep it clean so it can do its job properly
