welly
Hi, I have a 2002 Mont 315r - completely new to this sport For the clutch plates should these be all fibre as I have been given a set by a friend and these are a fibre pack or should I be using a certain combination of plates. i.e fibre & cork etc. I have counted 7 plates on my Mont which are fairly worn hence the change but due to the wear I cant work out the correct type. Also can the clutch lever be operated to test the clutch action whilst the gubbings are stripped out of the basket? I.e will any dot 4 leak out? Could someone be so kind to explain. Thanks Welly Edited August 24, 2019 by welly
mcman56
I see a manual and parts list here. There should be an alternating number of steel and fiber plates. Interesting question on weather the piston could pop out of the slave cylinder if not retained by the clutch. https://www.overlandtrail.biz/Montesa Parts Books.htm
