At least it looks red. When I saw “301” I had a near double take and thought of the 310 which had, possibly, the worst colour combo of any Montesa ever. That turquoise and dayglo combo - like you’d take a trials bike to a rave...

Be realistic, it's not going to be much different, more of an evolution. Beta, gas gas, and sherco more or less use a gearbox that is nearly 20 years old, can't really recall many gearbox problems on a mont... That won't be getting changed. The crank and Conrad are pretty much CRF stuff, can't see them changing that either, perhaps the clutch could lose a little weight, but there isn't a chance Honda will compromise the build quality and risk loads of warranty issues... Not good for business!!

I can't imagine them throwing a lot of titanium at it either, as that doesn't tend to last too well on trials bikes.

If you want a bike that you know won't let you down buy a mont, if you can't ride a 4 stroke or find them heavy, buy something else.

I read speculation that the 301 could be inheriting some of the mod's from the works bikes of Grattarola and co’

Anyone got any real insight (not speculation) into what Montesa/HRC have done with these 300RRs?? I appreciate they are not works bikes as such but they do have indirect factory support

Visually, looks like just ''Bold new graphics''. Waiting to see if they bumped Displacement by 10cc. It does look sharp.

Sure looks like a 10cc bump to me... and a few other updates, small but should be noticeable!
