Hydramatic
Hi all, my first post here after a while ‘lurking’. I became the owner of an extremely tired M49 after a night in the pub. One of the many areas that needs sorting is a non-existent exhaust thread. I Came across a company called Billet parts who bored out, re-threaded and supplied an oversize securing collar but have not been able to contact them. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance, Andy

model80
I seem to recall a similar post about Billet Parts some months back, with no satisfactory responses as to whether they’re still in business or not. feetupfun
Keith Lynas in the USA sells weld-in inserts. I bought one from Keith and had it fitted locally. Yes the Wayne Weedon method is good too Edited October 27, 2019 by feetupfun
bullylover
I had to buy a exhaust thread which goes onto the exhaust pipe from In Motion and then get a local car engineering shop to make me up an insert which they inserted into the barrel. I haven`t heard anything back from the owner of this bike so it must be working fine. Ask around at a few engineering places. It was not overly expensive either.
