mad_as_u_like
Hi my sons 80 has been stood for a year and the plates have stuck. I've freed them but they've gone sticky and keep sticking back together so need a clean. Can anyone tell me how to get this bolt out so I can remove the clutch plates. The bolt is just turning. Thanks
Bilko
Is it just the bolt or whole clutch basket that's turning when trying to slacken the bolt.If it's the whole clutch basket try putting a thick hand towel between the primary gear and clutch basket gear .that way it will lock the two but not do any damage to the teeth of either.used this method on a gas gas.Making sure locking tab is off the bolt Edited November 24, 2019 by Bilko
mad_as_u_like
Hey Bilko that's how I secured it to remove the first lot bolts lol. The basket isn't turning but the nut and plate(with arrow) are both turning. It's in gear but still spins
