Les56
Hi all trying to change seals on front forks but when turning bottom a hex bolt, damper rod is turning as well, looking down the fork top of rod doesn’t appear to have any way of stopping it turning I:e hex key etc, Any ideas Thanks Les
petert
If there are drain plugs on the side near the bottom of the legs try using a longer bolt than the drain screw in and it with touch the bit that is turning. Nip it up but not too tight and you may be in luck
b40rt
Put the forks back together, springs, caps etc. Compress the forks slightly and loosen the damper rod bolt. 2
majesty
As above, and a rattle gun will help. 3

tony27
Lucky you didn't try petert's idea as you'd probably only be pushing on the bottoming cone & not the damper rod that sits inside it
