I'd be inspecting the bottom end seals for signs of leakage on any 2-stroke engine that has constantly changing carburetor type issues. ... when it runs does it fire with a nice clear compression pop-pop-pop or does it have a ring-ying-ying engine sound ? I'm still on my idling problem. I can't describe the noise the engine makes. On the other hand, when the idling is about right at a slightly high speed, I just have to accelerate by opening the handle, for the revs to drop and the engine to stall. So I have to set the idle to a high speed and it's not easy to drive in the zone.
konrad
You should perform a pressure/vacuum test. There are many instructional videos on the topic on YouTube. This is the shortest and will show you the basic concepts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUmeyVcnZrs
robertthomas
Hello everyone. Have you tried any modifications to the Keihin 28 PWK carburetor? This involves enlarging the air and fuel ports.

lemur
When my friend that rides Beta uses my fuel he notices it runs way better. Might have something to do with 98 octane and 1% oil that I run in my TRS bikes instead of his high test pump gas mixed at 80:
robertthomas
in Spain where I live there is only 95. I put 1.5% oil as recommended by Beta. I still have problems with unstable idling.
