brad-climber
hi, thanks very much for the link, my problem is i fell of the bike and it went down on its side ( the rear brake side) picked the bike up and the shaft on which the gear lever sits is leaking oil out of it, the shaft had a small amount of in and out play before this happened but was fine and not leaking, i was wondering has the shaft pulled past an oil seal or has a clip jumped off, I'm hoping i don't have to split the nines just for this

pschrauber
If they have once got "oval" in shape which can also easely done by overthighten the kick starter screw the outer shaft is toast in terms of oil tightness or always will be incontinent. It is difficult now to source NOS replacements.
