russell46
Hello. I recently bought a Sherco ST300 and whilst cosmetically very good, it has had some poor servicing/maintenance before my ownership. The latest was discovered whilst fitting new tyres. The front wheel spindle has damaged threads and has been wound in regardless at some point. I'm wanting to run a tap in the thread on the form and a die but on the spindle (may replace the spindle if does clean up nice). Does anyone know what the thread is? I think it's M18 × 1.5 but would like to know for sure before I order a tap and die. Cheers Graham
cascao
Put a quality nut on it https://www.splatshop.co.uk/steering-stem-nut-m24-x-1-0-blue.html
tony27
If the forks are tech brand then going off splatshop's listing the thread will be M18x1.5, the older Paioli forks used M17x1.5 Edited April 3, 2020 by tony27
