andy_290
Hi All, Just got a 2005 290 to replace my old Beta 270. Loving it! I'm looking for an owners manual for it, so I've been on the Sherco website and had a look for one on there, but they only give downloads up to 2004, does anyone have a copy of the 2005 manual they can email me? Cheers! Andy

andy_290
Yes go to Ryan Young Products-- there is a 2005 trials manual there <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't find it only a spare parts list? What I need to know really I suppose is the fuel/oil ratio, and which settings are on, off & reserve on the fuel tap. Anyone help please? ham2
Easy-- I'm sure on all Sherco frames near the head-stock there is a plate which states 2% pre-mix. I've had four Shercos now and I run mine on 75cc ( fully synth) per 5litres of optimax which is less than the 2% stated. Shercos have a middlebox/silencer combined--if you use too much oil in your mix the packaging gums up and it is virtually impossible to clear them out successfully. As for your 'petcock!!!'-- point it down for ON-- point it left(out over)for OFF-- point it right ( in towards the exhaust) for RESERVE. Okeedokee? brian r
Be careful with the petcock. Hold it with one hand and move it with the other. Some tanks had a weak spot there.
