Tomsmith1992
Hi, I have a 2018 one rr 280cc which runs perfectly until the bike gets hot, so about 40 minutes riding, then once it gets hot it will start to bog down, splutter and backfire. Of i leave it for 10 minutes to cool down it runs fine again.....until it gets hot then same happens. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Carb has been cleaned and has a brand new spark plug Thanks in advance
lineaway
It is the vent on the Gas cap, remove the ball. Leave just an open vent like we did for years. Do it. don`t waste your time! We were in the middle of an 80 mile two day event when we had to do this fix,
tshock250
If it’s not the cap then look at all the faulty ignition posts on here & the Facebook groups.
huski
Don't think it's the cap, next time it does It take the cap off and see if there's a difference .Check the plug that joins the stator to the wiring loom at the back of the cylinder, water ingress there can make it run badly.Seems heat related so can't rule out the CDI,
