Mikhail
Hi. Could someone please advice what torque to use for tightening the flywheel nut? I have 2019 300 RR and the manual states 40Nm. After using 40Nm, the flywheel has slipped, destroyed the key and key fragments have badly mangled the mating surfaces:(. Also other brands (Sherco, Beta) work with 100+ Nm torques. I put the crank and flywheel to CNC shop hoping they will repair it, but I dont want to end up in the same spot, yet also dont want to break the hub of the flywheel on the crankshaft. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
Mikhail
In the whole world there is noone who would know the proper engine torques. It took KTM to buy GasGas to finally have a proper quality manual. Swear to god my next trials bike will be from KTM GG. Anyways I tried 100Nm and the flywheel hub didnt break and also FW still seems to be well centered...incase anyone gets into the same situation, 100Nm was safe to use. DanMcP
I just replaced the stator on my other bike, a '13 Beta Evo. The manual called for 140 Nm!! Not that I'm recommending that for other bikes. I just thought it seemed a lot.
