Corny
I'm sure this has been asked loads of times, but, what petrol/ 2t oil ratio should I use on my Sherpa 250 (1979)? People are telling me I dont need to use anywhere near as much as years ago because 2t oil is so much better these days. Does 40/1 sound sensible? Any guidance appreciated, thanks. suzuki250
I run my Beamish on 40:1 Silkolene comp 2, no problems and no smoke Edited May 15, 2021 by suzuki250
djr
40/1 with a decent modern oil should be okay for trials, if doing any road riding then maybe more oil would be a good idea. I have run my Ossa MAR on this ratio with synthetic oil for years with no problems ( may have just been lucky ) personally wouldn't go any leaner than this, as I think too much oil cannot do as much harm as too little oil could do
