Xtremei
HELP I have a 2018 300 TXT We have just replaced the alternator side crank case seal. Unfortunately the bike won't now start. It will occasionally start but only with the throttle wide open. When it is running it runs perfectly There is a strong spark Whe you kick it over you can smell petrol Carb is set up correctly. We have tried a carb off another bike and it still won't start The kill switch has been disconnected , makes no difference. Any suggestions - could it be the stator or voltage regulator - Its getting really frustrating Thanks Gareth
kurtas
Too much fuel if only starts full throttle. If you can get it running disconnect the fuel hose and let it idle until it runs out of fuel, give it a week then reconnect the fuel hose and start it immediately. If your problems solved you need to look at the float needle valve.
lineaway
Have you pulled the reed cage off to see who dropped the bolt in a pedal?
PakJeem
Opening the throttle WFO opens the butterflies and lets in a lot more air. So more air is good. That may indicate you’re rich. I would lean out the air screw and possibly lean out the pilot jet by one size. I know you said the carb is set correctly, but weather and altitude…. Also fresh gas always helps.
