betamike
Hi all, my friend bought an 04 sherco 250 today and he was wondering how you fit a kill switch. Is it an easy job or do you have to cut wires? Also how much gear oil do we put in? is it 450cc like the 290? thank you in advance!
andy_290
I'm interested also, need to sort a kill switch out for mine too. Pretty sure the 250 is 450cc too.
shercoholic
While this contains instructions for replacing the standard wiring harness with the RYP abbreviated item, it also show the connections you are after. http://www.sherco.com/downloads/wayne/Wiri...nstallation.pdf JM of Marlintec also has a colourful simplified diagram if you have your dictionary handy. nigel dabster
Pretty sure its a matter of grounding the black wire from the coil.
jackman
I used a two wire yz kill switch on my ty175. And it works great! I found this thread to be all the help I needed! Nigel is right, you just ground the black wire of the killswitch on the coil. (I connected the extra black wire to where the old killswitch was connected aswell and it stops WAY better than the old single wire killswitch. Plus it doesn't shock me now when I'm trying to shut'er'down!) Hope that's of use
