Yep I think i learned that lesson many years ago, Carb cleaner is evil stuff. You have to be careful on the gold wheels on our bikes if you have them like i do on my bike. I also have an africa twin, again with hood wheels, you have to be very careful as to which cleaning agent you use as it can easily damage the gold finish.
