gasgas249uk
My new forks seals continued leaking on my old Gasser and i was told that there may be too much wear and slack causing the sliders to be loose (side to side) therefore opening the seal. I eventually fitted seals with a smaller inside diameter(.5mm)which cured the problem. This may cause the forks to be not so smooth. Try www.eabs.co.uk. They are very helpful and cheap and have every bearing and seal you could possibly want(not all on the web site). Are these forks upside down units that were fitted in Aprilia climbers? If so i have the parts sheet for them . If you want a copy then just message me privately with your email address and ill scan it and send it by email. steve shakeshaft
I can't imagine you definately need new forks. Even if there is excessive looseness in the sliders, you can replace bushes in them normally. If there aren't any bushes, a good restorer could still bore the sliders and bush them for you.
