trailmeisterjoe
So my new to me '04 Beta Rev 250 currently has an NGK BP5ES plug in it and the Beta specified Champion crosses over to a 1 step colder BP6ES plug. What are you guys using and if you are also one step hotter, why? Joe
ksv
I always ran a NGK BPR5ES in my Rev 3's. I think the R stands for resistor? Edited January 31, 2023 by ksv edit
trailmeisterjoe
Yes, the "R" is resistor. The 5 is one step hotter than spec'd for the Rev so just wondering if the "6" that is called for by Beta was fouling on folks so they went to the "5"? PAULIE
The manual of an '07 Rev calls for a BR7ES. I wonder why they changed. The tip of "P" plug extends into the combustion chamber thus taking up space and raising the compression ratio some. Maybe that was what they wanted.
