Cara
Hiya, I'm new to trials and bikes in general to be honest haha and have just bought my first bike, a Yamaha TY175 1981/1982 model to ride and remodel. It's a brilliant wee bike however, it is missing its side stand and I'm struggling to find the complete parts to replace. I seem to only be able to find the springs online. I don't suppose anyone knows of anywhere that could help or if anyone has a spare they would be willing to sell, or even if there is a worthy universal stand that anyone could suggest. Any ideas would be appreciated! I'm located in the UK, near Cambridge. Thank you! 😊
turbofurball
You have 3 options: find a used one from a bike thats being broken for parts, get a local fabricator to make one for you, or just lean the bike against a tree when you're not on it. rr62
Glad you like your TY - great little bikes and love mine. You could try inmotion - they do a universal right hand stand… https://www.inmotiontrials.com/product/side-stand-universal-rh/ But maybe call to check it’ll fit the bike. diagnosis
If there's nothing available through a vendor, or perhaps everyones favourite 'auction' site, as turbofurball suggested, it wouldn't be too hard to have one made as there's not much to them. If you were local to me, it would cost you a 12 pack, plus materials to fab up something, but unfortunately the Atlantic Ocean is between us. You must know someone that would love a little project like this to help out a fellow vintage bike nut.
Beardy
Have you tried Cambridge trials centre?
