rhaines
I am looking at buying a bike rack for the car and wanted to find out who make them, which ones are the best made etc. The only one I have seen is the dave cooper one but im sure there must be more companies make them.I preferably want one that is coated with something so it doesnt rust so let me know what experiences you have had. Thanks rich

telecat
My Dave Cooper has served me well. It has carried A Mecatechno 80, Beta Rev50, 2004 Sherco 125 and is currently carrying a 2006 Gas Gas 125. Two things, Firstly to adjust it to fit I had to bring it right down to the shortest it would go, even removing the "bung" on the front wheel side. Secondly I have put some pipe insulation on the Upright and the front bar of the rear wheel holder to stop the bike leaning into the car's hatch and also to stop the wheels being marked. Rocks and stones are one thing, denting a wheel on the rack would be careless.
