Hi all,

Newbie from East Sussex here. Just joined to find out how the trials world has changed from 20 years ago. That was when I eas last riding. Looking to get back into it, not sure what bike to get as they have changed so much but look like they are much better due to being a lot lighter. Any recommendations...?

Thanks

as R2W says, look around a local trial at the six manufactures and the various engine sizes

check out the classifieds in TMX and the local trials shops (inta, stevens, freestyle, jam sport, moto merlin, etc)

got a club in mind?

Hi r2,

I rode in the Eastbourne club as well must have been a bit longer than 20 years ago. A guy called Simon Levitt one everything then. Not sure if hes still around but I had a look a the EB site and Stephen Foord is still riding for them. I remember him. I was 13-15 at the time and had a fantic 125 loved the bike. I would like to go for one of the modern bikes as they look a lot lighter and you would be able to throw them around a bit more.

Like the look of the Butaco on e bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Ill have to go and have a look and try a few out.

Chip

Hi Rabie,

Like the sherco/bultaco. Yeah think it would be the EB club and the Horsham club.

Had a look at worthing and Eastbourne. I know Chris Wells very well, hes the pressident of the EB club so ill have a chat with him. They also use his land for meetings and practise. God havnt seen Simon for years. Remember the italjets thoght they were a bit tinny.

Hiya... where in East Sussex you from? I am from Battle and was riding the Eastbourne and GEST club trials 20 years ago!! I had an RTL and a 300 Fantic around that time.... in the old days!!!

Depending on your cash availability and whether you want to get modern or ride a twin shock from your old era... Any of the more modern bikes from 1998 onwards are more than capable, if brand new i suggest you go to a local trial and blag a ride on a few different ones.

i've just started riding in those clubs just got in to sport love it also lerning fast no reds all reddy!! ;):D
